Scratch that deadline
May 29th 2008 @ 2:47 am in [ News & Updates ]
We had put deadlines on the return of disposable cameras and digital photos as an experiment to see if we’d get cameras back any sooner, and also to possibly put a close to this project.
Since starting in March, we’ve decided that this project deserves a little bit more time. We’ve received some interesting photos and people have expressed their interest to see more.
We’ve decided to take off the deadlines to turn cameras in. So if you have a camera that is overdue, or are still thinking about creating your own digital photoset. Do it.
In the meantime, we’re at headquarters making new camera packages to be put out into the city, as well as processing images that have been returned.
Photononymo.us is here to stay. Exciting!
Digital Photo Submissions
May 18th 2008 @ 10:13 pm in [ News & Updates ]

We are still accepting and releasing disposable cameras, but there has been a little bit of a debate for the possibility of digital submissions.
We’ve been trying to keep photononymo.us mostly analog for the modest feel disposable cameras have to offer. However, we’ve been notified that there are some people out there who are interested in making their own autobiography photoset but, are too cheap to pay for the postage and disposable camera.
Others, in love with the instant gratification of digital photography and messaging, mentioned that it is in fact a pain to find a blue mail box and don’t want to waste time at post offices (which are admittedly kind of dreadful experiences from time to time).
Not to mention, using digital photography will sure cut down on the mess we’ve got going on over here.
Raiding the East side & Kentucky.

Over the past day or two the photononymous team has been raiding places like Kenwood, Mariemont, Florence, Crescent Springs, and more. We put out a few disposable cameras as well as a few photos taken around headquarters with our url listed to direct people over here to our little webspace.
You can take a look at the photos we’ve put out here: (click the image to view)

Welcome to Photononymo.us
May 15th 2008 @ 4:42 am in [ Welcome ]
Way back in March we started Photononymo.us by placing disposable cameras at random around the city of Cincinnati. We’ve gotten a few cameras back anonymously, and have created a blog to share the photos we’ve received. Here, you have the opportunity to view the photos we’ve received as well as comment on them.
Thank you to everyone who has participated so far.
Currently, we’ve set out 6 cameras out and about in the city. As you can see by the previous posts, 2 have officially come back.
Now that we have pretty much resolved design and tech issues for this blog site, we’re ready to post up more photos as we get them. So, if you’re still holding onto a camera you’ve found, send it in already! If you’re wondering how you can participate, read our new blurb in the left hand menu on How Can I Participate?
